Ed Easterly Receives the Lehigh Valley Business 2020 Forty Under 40 Award

Edward Easterly, a founding member of Hoffman Hlavac & Easterly, has been named as a recipient of the Lehigh Valley Business’ Forty Under 40 Award.  The Forty Under 40 Awards program celebrates forty of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s most accomplished young businessmen and women who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and to the community.

Ed graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2003 and subsequently graduated from Villanova Law School, cum laude, in 2006 and since that time has focused his practice on labor and employment law and civil and commercial litigation.  Ed represents clients on a wide range of matters related to Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Act, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.  He assists clients, including universities, private businesses, municipalities, utilities, manufacturers, and non-profit organizations, with their labor and employment matters.

Ed advises clients, including human resources representatives and business owners, on a range of labor and employment matters including the enforceability of employment agreements, wage and hour matters, discrimination and harassment issues, OSHA issues, I-9 compliance, and covenants not to compete. He drafts and revises employee handbooks/manuals, as well as employment and separation agreements.  Ed
further presents training programs to clients about many of these same issues, specifically including harassment and general supervisor training. 

Ed is on the Board for the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown and is on the Executive Board of the Minsi Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America and the Board of Advisors for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks.

In March of 2019, Ed, along with his partners Steve Hoffman and George Hlavac, formed Hoffman Hlavac & Easterly, a law firm which focuses on labor and employment law and commercial and civil litigation.
