Inauguration Day 2021

Let’s start by getting this out of the way: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL POST!!!! Whether your candidate won or lost, January 20, 2021 means change is coming for employers. A new administration means a change in policy is around the corner. This could mean alterations to wage and hour laws (think an increase to minimum wage), the National Labor Relations Act (remember the good old days of the Employee Free Choice Act), and other employer-related laws, statutes, and regulations. These policy shifts can start as soon as this week with Executive Orders signed by President Biden. Employers must be up-to-date on the new issues which they are faced with as they arise. Hoffman Hlavac & Easterly will continue to provide timely updates to ensure that you have the knowledge you need to avoid potential claims and liability.
